How do you know you’re walking after the Spirit of the one true Lord, Creator of heaven and earth? How do you know Him? Do you know Him? It’s 2024 and a new song is being sung by a numbered group. It’s becoming louder each day. It’s reverberating and it’s liberating and eventually multitudes will be singing it! Are you listening? Are you hearing it yet? Are you taking critical time out of the world to learn it?
“We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts…. » 2 Peter 1:19-21
Whenever I mention the 2nd coming of the Lord Yeshua Ha’Mashiac I need to remind myself of my own journey and how God reveals the mystery of the Kingdom to each of us in His perfect timing. My anticipation of His promised return underpins the hope of my faith. However, it’s also a subject steeped in misinterpretation, despite God’s word telling us : « Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost » 2 Peter 1:20-21

I plant to write on each of these separately in the coming weeks. My own experience has been one of profound revelation of what the good news actually is, and the revelation has happened gradually these past 14 years and always stands on God’s word as the final authority. In light of this, my fear or reverance of God and my grasp of the knowledge of His sovereignty over everything and everyone, has been God’s remedy for many of my irrational fears. Before moving to Quebec in 2015 I lived in Nova Scotia and didn’t own a smart phone. I spent hours each day reading scripture and returned again and again to the book of Daniel and to the Revelation of John the apostle…. (To be continued)
