“At first that day seemed black and white, until I really took time to be still. Only then did colour rush in. From silence it washed over everything like a flood” on creative expression and grief , from The Beautiful Mystery
‘in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy SEED as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is upon the seashore; and thy SEED shall possess the gate of his enemies’ Yahweh’s promise to Abraham - Genesis 22:17
Delicate
Feeling just a tad overwhelmed recently. Few words, and some tears. A reminder i’m still here, human and fragile. Sensitive to other’s sufferings , often feeling frustrated and helpless. And it’s so quiet. A stillness envelopes the noise of this world. Yet, everything’s changing faster than I can think. But believing in the promises and waiting as the pure language ´and the new song is revealed. Moment by moment, in the blink of an eye. Time serves its Master, held between His hands, between eternity past and eternity future. Its fullness , completion of His perfect will, has already happened. Yet His love keeps us held securely within the mystery, because He is love , and therein lies the perfection of our faith

Faith’s song
« Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment? Behold the birds of the heaven, that they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not ye of much more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit unto [a]the measure of his life? And why are ye anxious concerning raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Be not therefore anxious for the morrow: for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof » The words of the Lord Yeshua (Matthew 6:25-34)

Where Inverary meets Newhaven April 2024
Inverary, on the Argyll Peninsula in Scotland and Newhaven in Edinburgh Scotland are two places I visited during my recent trip to Scotland. Both places hold a special place in the heart of our family . Rainbows appeared during these visits and I returned to Canada with photos and inspiration for a painting. The Vital Spark based on the Para Handy fictional puffer boat was in Inverary Harbour.

A New Song - May 2024
Psalm 33: 1-4: “Rejoice in the Lord, o ye righteous, for praise is comely for the upright. Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto Him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings . Sing unto Him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise. For the word of the Lord is right and all His works are done in truth “
The True Vine
This summer our doorway and window became almost hidden , these vines grew more than ever before. Coming home tonight I thought of the words of our Lord Yeshua : John 15:1-4
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me”
Quiet summer mornings writing it out
This summer I took my notebooks with me. I find as a form of prayer , writing almost like letter forms , I’m better able to express to the LORD my heart’s words. More importantly, if the LORD draws me to a scripture , i’m able to jot it down next to my words. Over time it’s almost like a personal faith map being drawn and guided by the Lord through different times and situations in my life. I often find it helps to look back and read the beautiful personal exchange of words.
Mountain climb July 27th 2024
It was very humid but worth the climb for this view.
“Repentir “
View taken from Le Ciel, Québec City, July 2024 during a family celebration. Thinking about the verb “to think” in French, penser” and to rethink “repentir”. The word “repent” as instructed by Yeshua , pertaining to the heart of life matters, His Kingdom within. Time, a gift to hold onto as He leads us in and through this journey.

Reaching up
Watercolours , this painting was done March 2024 whilst there was still snow on the ground and I was thinking about summer up ahead.
The Northern Lights
This painting coincided with the sighting of the Northern Lights above the Quebec City skyline on May 10th 2024. The colours complemented the photos of the Aurora Borealis taken by my daughter. Inspired by the garments of the proverbs 31 woman.

Across the St Lawrence River , Quebec 2023
This was a photo I took, looking out towards Pierre-Laporte Bridge, Quebec City, from a beach area (Jacques Cartier) of the St Lawrence river. It's the longest main suspension bridge in Canada. My Dad always marvelled at how similar it looked to the Forth Road Bridge across the Firth of Forth in East Central Scotland.
