Job’s example for the days ahead- notes by Leeland Jones
  • The Book of Job is not only a poetic masterpiece, but it is also very prophetic, making Job a prophet. Job seems to be bridging the gap between Noah and Abraham. He is YHWH's prophet on the earth at that time. Job was stricken with Armageddon and the plagues, and he had to patiently endure the tribulation period to the end! Thus Job is as an example for us of the patience of the saints.
  • James 5:11 KJV Ye have heard of the patience (nouovn hypomone) of Job.
  • Rev 13:10 KJV Here is the patience (unowovn hypomone) and the faith of the saints.
  • Rev 14:12 KJV Here is the patience (únouovn hypomone) of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
  • Mat 24:13 KJV But he that shall endure (unouévw hypomenõ) unto the end, the same shall be saved.
  • So let us continue to run with patience the race that is set before us!
